The whiskers on Valoo's chin are from a wig I had. I just tied and glued the strands together.

Roughing out the pattern involved me mocking up the shapes with paper.

Here's three mock ups of Valoo's hands made with random fabric. I wanted to make sure they worked before using the good fabric.

Inside the wing is a layer of buckram, a layer of thin batting, and wire. This allows the wings to be posable, have a nice puffy feel, and retain its shape.

These eyes make him look stoned or something. I ended up remaking them.
