Attaching the FeetNow that you have two feet ready, you can stuff them with fluffy. Fold in the remaining unsewn edges slightly so they'll be hidden in the final plushie. And prepare to pin the feet to the Mr. Saturn body. As you can see here, Mr. Saturn is round, so the unsewn edge of the feet nearest to the center might need to be folded more than the outer edge. Pin on both feet and look at the whole Mr. Saturn from all angles. You'll want to make sure the feet aren't lopsided to each other, that they're not placed too forward or back, and that they make a slight angle so the Mr. Saturn can stand by himself. Start sewing the feet to the body using the hidden stitch. It may be a bit tough to keep the feet in position when you remove a pin, so make sure you constantly check that it hasn't fallen too far out of place. When you get to around the front of the feet, take care not to sew too far towards the toe or else it will not appear 'feet-like'. Also make sure the top of both feet are sewn an equal distance from the toe, or else one will appear to have more 'feet' than the other. The last thing I did was straighten the whiskers, trim them, and coat the tips in a bit of acrylic medium to keep them from coming apart. And now, you are done! Finished! Your life purpose has been fulfiled and you can die a happy man/woman! |
